Description

After their Father’s death, Anne and Janene find a photograph of an unknown young woman in his suit jacket. Its discovery brings up years of resentments and unresolved differences as they argue over how to discuss it with their Mother, who has dementia. A poignant family drama by the writer of Willow Quartet.

 

Audition information:

We are holding auditions for The Photograph, Directed by: Shirley Bieman and written by Joan Burrows.

Audition dates: November 18 & 19, 2019 from 7 p.m. at the Kincardine Centre for the Arts.

CASTING FOR:

– Janene: younger daughter to Helen (45-50)

– Anne: older daughter (55+)

– Helen: mother in early stages of dementia (75’s+)

– Helen: newly married in 1948, (20’s)

– Agnes: Irish girl, (17)

You would need to be at all required rehearsals Beginning December 3:

Tuesdays and Thursdays (7-10 p.m.) and Sundays (1:30-4:30 p.m.) starting Dec. 3 to Dec. 22, then recommencing Jan. 5. All-weekend rehearsal: Sat/Sun, Jan 25/26; Tech Jan 28, Dress Feb 2.

And at all performances:

Performance dates Feb 7,8,9 (matinee), 13,14,15 (matinee), 21,22(matinee), Evening show times @ 8:00 pm ; matinees @ 2:00 pm.

Plus during the March Break March 16 to 21, if we are selected by the adjudicator to go to WODL Theatre Festival 2020, in Cambridge Ont.
