Colin is a new addition to the Kincardine Theatre Guild. Recently graduated from high school he is thrilled to be part of a production he can get really excited about, a bright eyed, socially anxious nerd playing a bright eyed, socially anxious nerd. He feels right at home on stage and is pleased to be playing Harry Gibson.
Chris is thrilled to be performing in the KTG’s Gibson and Sons. A lover of comedies and musicals, his previous KTG credits include A Christmas Carol, South Pacific, Anne of Green Gables, Noises Off and more. Originally from Hamilton, Chris and his wife Cynthia have proudly called Kincardine home for almost thirty years, having worked locally while raising their three daughters Robyn, Paige and Liane. Newly retired and mostly empty nested, Chris enjoys power walking, trips to the family cottage and time spent at home with Cindy and their beloved Havanese companion, Scout.
Leahanne is excited to be on stage for her third role with KTG as Becca Rollins in Gibson and Sons. She feels that her quirky, sometimes awkward, personality naturally lends itself to the role and is excited to bring Becca to life on stage. Her previous roles include Madame De La Grande Bouche in Beauty and the Beast and Zoe Telford in Curse of the Silver Pharaoh. Leahanne job shadowed director Andy for this show in anticipation of her directorial debut next year.
Deb previously appeared on KTG’s stage as Janine in The Photograph, a Scottish pub keeper and flaky secretary in two of our one act shows, and as the crusty detective Heather Montgomery in last spring’s Curse of the Silver Pharaoh. She created and directed our two blacklight shows; wrote, directed and performed in our one act mini-musical Canajun, Eh?; co-produced and sang in last summer’s variety show; and was Stage Manager for our most recent production, Beauty and the Beast.
Born and raised in Kincardine, Rachel has always been fascinated with theatre productions. She joined the Kincardine Theatre Guild in 2023 for her debut production as part of the ensemble for Beauty and the Beast. Rachel knew that wasn’t the last of her KTG experiences as she auditioned for Gibson and Sons and was offered her first speaking role as Katya. Rachel is looking forward to performance nights and hopes that you will join the adventure as well!
Stepping into the character of Eva in Gibson and Sons, Kristina joyfully embraces her fourth play and third speaking role with the Kincardine Theatre Guild. In each production she not only finds happiness on stage but also cherishes the opportunity to cultivate new lasting friendships. Kristina emphasizes the theatre’s inclusive nature, extending a warm invitation for anyone interested in volunteering, whether it be on the stage or behind the scenes.
Andrew McKay has really enjoyed creating the role of Luke Gibson, the eldest son of Declan and older brother to Harry. Andrew is a first time actor, though he has a always had a love for the dramatic arts. Moving to Kincardine in 2010, he’s loved being a part of the community. Currently Andrew works for a landscaping company and spends his free time building model planes, golfing, hanging out with friends, and reading.
Andy is excited to be directing this wonderful romantic comedy with an amazing cast. Andy first appeared on the KTG stage in Suburban Standoff as the curmudgeonly Hank. His latest role was as Detective Alvin Swift in Curse of the Silver Pharaoh. While on the KTG Board Andy arranged workshops on set building, theatre make-up, and stage management. These tools were useful as he helped build sets for several shows and stage managed Buying the Moose. Andy can’t wait to present this show to audiences and hopes they laugh as much as the cast has in rehearsals.
It’s been a long time coming but Elaine and David have sold the family home and are moments away from becoming empty nesters. Their three children are almost settled, Grandma Rose is moving to a retirement home and they’re about to start the next chapter of their lives.
But what happens when one parent is more ready to move than the other? What happens when the kids want to remain kids? And where does Grandma Rose keep disappearing to?
Nested begs to ask - Do kids ever really grow up and is parenting ever really finished?
