Now Casting: 7 Roles for Spring Romantic Comedy
The Kincardine Theatre Guild is thrilled to invite you to audition for the upcoming romantic comedy, “Gibson & Sons.” With 7 fantastic roles up for grabs, no prior experience is needed – just your passion for performance!

Story Summary:
Harry works at his family’s traditional funeral home, struggling since his mother’s passing and the opening of a new, upscale funeral home nearby. In an attempt to gain recognition and make his family proud, Harry invites his secret online girlfriend, Katya, to Canada with the intention of marrying her.
Characters:
- Harry Gibson: 20’s-30’s; geeky, socially inept nerd
- Declan Gibson: 50-70; old-fashioned, charming, a little brusque (Harry’s father)
- Luke Gibson: 20’s-30’s; handsome, the perfect son (Harry’s older brother)
- Becca: 20’s-30’s; Gibsons’ secretary; nice but a little spacey.
- Jo: 50-70; unintentionally funny; Declan’s sister-in-law, Harry and Luke’s aunt
- Katya: 20’s-30’s; stunning; Eastern European accent (Harry’s “fiancé”)
- Eva: 30’s-40; blunt, a realist; Eastern European accent (Katya’s older sister)
Audition Format – Cold Reading:
Actors will be given a script at the audition and asked to perform a scene without having seen the material beforehand. So no preparation necessary! Just bring a positive attitude and get ready to have some fun.
Rehearsals:
Starting February 20
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: 7:00 – 10:00 PM
- Sundays: 1:00 – 4:00 PM
