Letter from Kincardine Theatre Guild President

Looking Back on 2023

Dear Members,

As another year draws to a close, most of you will be in the swing of preparations for the upcoming holiday season. And although this time brings us a break from the everyday hustle and bustle, it also gives us the opportunity to reflect on our past year.

The Kincardine Theatre Guild looks back on a successful and exciting 2023 as we found ourselves back on the big stage and gathering once again in the joy of the arts.  We saw the success of putting on The Curse of the Silver Pharaoh, a black light show, and the long anticipated Beauty and the Beast.

We saw new faces join our membership and said goodbye to some longtime favourites. Our year has brought us many new upgrades, particularly in sound and lighting as well as some much needed re-organizing and our board continues to plan for more theatre upgrades.

We have been fortunate enough to receive some donations of time, energy, creativity and resources into putting together a theatre guild you can be proud of. We have exciting plans in the works for the upcoming 2024 season and can’t wait to share our ideas with you.

The board also had the honour of adding a new mini-board member to our group with the addition of a baby boy by our board member Erica Everingham on November 27. We congratulate her on her beautiful bundle and applaud her ability and willingness to work as the choreographer for Beauty and the Beast at the height of her pregnancy. We can’t wait until the day her little guy takes the stage.

As president of the Kincardine Theatre Guild, I can say I am truly excited for what is in store and look forward to this journey we are taking. We are excited that you will be along with us for the ride and ask for your continued support as we embark on these new adventures.

On behalf of myself and all the standing board members, we want to wish you a joyful, safe and happy holiday and a marvelous new year!
